Unblocking School Sites

Ok, at my high school in Tampa they have the thing where you can go on any sites such as social networking, anything with the word hack/programming, adult rated content, so on and so forth. I mainly have two questions for his
1: Would this be bad for me to ask for someone to help me bypass this system?
2: If it isn't, is there anyone who could help?

I only ask not only to just check my facebook at school (obviously this is a trivial request) but to just learn a thing or two about bypassing blocked sites. If this is illegal, jus delete this thread and I apologize for having wasted time and space on this forum :)!

Technically it's illegal, but all you have to do is use a proxy.

Be aware if you get caught (schools usually have remote viewing) you're screwed.

Really, using a proxy is illegal? Where's the Federal judge ruling on that? ;)

And yes, you will get in trouble if caught. But that's why I said to google and read, almost every single proxy out there let's you know that you can get in trouble for using their site.

Not illegal, but attempting to bypass your school will get you fucked.

Fucking up your schools computers is illegal though.

However, if the sites are filtered by router, you can hack the router which is pretty simple. Not worth trying though, because you will have to clear the logs, and it would seem suspicious to all the nearby people and teachers to what you are doing.

Thank you everybody for replying but I did forget to mention one thing..without proxies..
I want to use this to learn, to me using a proxie to solve my problem is the equivalent to script kiddie, like using a program to do the basics. I want to learn a process that is both realistic, educational, and (of course) practical :)

Figure out what they are using to block the sites (it's usually...dangit can't remember the name. Either way, go to a site that is blocked (make sure it's not a bad site so that they realize its a false positive) to get it to tell you what program they are using. Then use wikipedia and google to figure out how it works. Once you have that it's easy :D

Try making your own proxy software then.

Once you have that it's easy

You seem to be all for saying that something is easy. It isn't necessarily easy at all.
