I would also like to vouch for TestDisk, just google "TestDisk dd files" to get started. Just completed the challenge, simple stuff!

Was thinking the same thing.

Do have the "this is your new password" but just get error when entered.

Any ideas? tips? anything? xD



Edit: Nvm I got it.. it was a tricky one.. :twisted:

The file is a rar password protected. how have you guys done to get that password? I am stuck on it for 2 days now

I figured out how to recuperate the majority of the other text,document,image records and they were intelligible and distinguishable even the pdf's exceptionally intriguing data to peruse on there ha!

however, im endeavoring to open the packed records - am I expected to utilize scapel to open it, I know bruteforcing or breaking the secret word isn't perfect methodology, so I think about whether is there elective path for me to do that?

kindly alter this post in the event that you feel this is excessively of a spoiler - I don't know whether it is, excuse me! in any case, it would be ideal if you told me something or point me right way
