It took me forever to figure this out, but when I finally did I didn't know what I did until I looked over the data. It still doesn't seem like the simplest thing, but I got it. :D

I've been on this mission for weeks now and I just can't get past it.

I did the command where I see the files at the bottom of the page but I have NO IDEA what to do now. I posted this once before but I didn't get much help, to my knowledge anyway. I am extremely lost with those files and I don't know what to do with them. I tried typing the long and awkward file into the textbox but it doesn't work so now I'm assuming I have to open it somehow yet I have no idea how to.

It seems as if this is the easy part since no one else asks questions about this, only the command part which I got rather quickly. I apologize for asking for help but it's rather frustrating and making me not want to do it anymore.

Micahel_867 wrote:finally did it. Never would have gotten it if it wasn't for a huge spoiler someone put that I guess is alright to mention(starting with ';'). I guess the reason it works is because it makes the program think it's finished with that line of code, and now starting a new set of instructions after the ';'? If that is the case, none of the hints really hint at it.

Lmao you helped me alot thanx xD...... ;)

I know which file contains the password, however i can't access it. The only file i can access is cal.pl and looking at the source i'd say it's designed to only show cal.pl. So how can i get in the password file?

ow nvm, i got it. That was odd though, you should have let "; cat passwordfile" work as well

why do you have the put the ";" ive used linux and unix before alot of times and can use the commands in the shell without the ";" also ive tried other unix commands and only one works, is that because this is a simulation? I cant use say "; cd" to get to the root directory?

All needed to tell, is that *nix commands in these boxes should have a ";" prefix :)
