Ok, well I don't really need that much help but I've got it figured out and have it all changed. But what do I do next?? Oh, and I used the latest version of Fire Fox and the Firebug. That's all the help I need.

Also, the browser and tools you're using don't really matter.

Almost there. Help much appreciated

Post by Beergut on Wed Aug 06, 2008 7:49 am
([msg=8938]see Almost there. Help much appreciated[/msg])

Okay so I'm pretty good with html and other things (not that that really matters, so here it goes). I have changed the vote value, and I'm pretty sure that I understand how I'm going to need to use an absolute path to be able to get this to run globally. But not exactly sure how. I tried changing the <form action="v.php> to <form action="/var/www/hackthissite.org/html/missions/realistic/1/v.php"> but when I click the vote button, it tries to load from /C:/Documents and Settings/...../var/www/hackthissite.org/html/missions/realistic/1/v.php.which clearly is wrong. My only other guess would be that I have to manipulate the vote button to run to the absolute path.

I just, blegh so confused, I feel like I'm so close, Can anyone tell me if I'm on the right track, and if not, maybe point me onto the right track :D?

Thanks

Any help much appreciated.

Hi,
Take a look at the mission source code. More to the point, the several identical forms that's used for voting.
You should think about sending some unexpected values to every form that you encounter. How about sending a number greater than 5? What do you think?

How about you substitute the PHP session ID in the URL with that of your own session ID, you can find it in the source code mate OK? Hope this helps. If not PM Me and I will guide you more. Just hope this is not too much of a spoiler? I don't think it is. Just a guide to what you were already trying.
