Ok, I am curious, what does everyone run? We all know what a good system looks like, but what is it that you actually have sitting in front of you? Be honest! Not everyone is rich and can afford whatever. I will go first.

Dell Dimension 4700

500 watt

p-4 3.2ghz dual core

1.5 gb 667mhz

1x 80gb IDE
2x 250 gb SATA 3.0
1X WD MYBOOK WORLD 1Tb extenal

Dvd burner:
NEC something or other, 4x dual layer.

Integrated Audio

Integrated video, but I have a Nvidia 4700 series video card that went into it before I fucked up the adapter.

Monitor 21" CRT from SONY that has up to 1900X1200 resolution with this video card, better with the ther one.

I showed you mine, now show me yours!

Gateway MT6459

AMD Turion 64 X2 processor 1.79GHZ each
160 GB Hard Drive
ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 (256 MB)
Windows XP, Linux Mint, Backtrack 4

Nothing special, I know :(, but gets the job done, and is pretty damn good for a laptop :D

HP Pavilion (Forget the Model #)
3.0 GHZ Processor (Intel, I think)
250GB Hard Drive
128 Intel Integrated Video Card
Windows XP/Linux Mint

Technically a family PC. But since all it is ever used for is watching movies via Ipla(Kinda like a Polish version of Hulu) and Hulu, or movies downloaded via torrents I want to find a replacement computer for mundane tasks like that, and soup this computer up. For starters, a new video card is a must, at least a 512mb would be nice, but possibly a 1024 just to be overkill ;D. 2 more GB's of RAM would also go into this (if not 3GB), I'd probably end up adding a 500GB HD to it just for the heck of it, and possibly doing some overclocking. Sadly, its a single-core, but I might look into turning it into a dual processor system if I notice it is really that much slower.

Just an update.. Got my i7 running at 3.95Ghz stable, but I don't really want to throw any more voltage at it since I want some life out of the thing. A lot of people have had much better results so I guess I just got stuck with a crappy chip in comparison.. Still, I've got a decent overclock, it's stable and does everything I need it to plus everything I don't! :)

Wait, Wait... So your RAM is so l33t it has it's own clock-speed but no memory, and you're connecting everything in your system together via a video card? Including another Video Card?

Damn that's fucking awesome.
