Hem hem.

phabricator.org wrote:Supports: Git, Subversion, and Mercurial

Anyway, what's the URL?

EDIT:
Here are my suggested specs for the video player (I assume I'm making it, since I'm the only one that knows ActionScript.):

The video player will take an input of a video file and a mime format, and display it with simple Play/Pause, Volume, and looping controls. It would also have a like button that would send a request + CSRF token to a PHP page.
If we want, we could also allow comments at specific times in the video, so while you're watching you can comment on that part, like with soundcloud.
That said, I would be glad to take other people's suggestions.

Heh, I remember we started a collaboration project of sorts a year or so ago. It was with XORmebaby or fashizzlepop (you're the same person right?) and a couple other peeps. The project never even got started. It was fun getting people excited though.

Also, HOLY SHIT is Phabricator useful. :o

Why have I never heard about this before? What else have you been hiding from me! :shock:

I'm down to an extent. I've already started building my own site but havn't touched it it way too long so i don't know how useful i'd be with my level of experience and availible time :UNI:

Technically the first language i ever learnt, but that was like 10 years ago, almost not kidding haha. Though i couldn't even figure out if statements and didn't have a net connection so couldn't research. So yeah, you'll be making it :P

I will assume you are running a Ubuntu / Debian based linux box?

First, type
Code: Select all
nano
in the terminal to open a text editor in the terminal:

Next, paste the following code into the nano session.
Code: Select all
#!/bin/bash

confirm() {
  echo "Press RETURN to continue, or ^C to cancel.";
  read -e ignored
}

GIT='git'

LTS="Ubuntu 10.04"
ISSUE=`cat /etc/issue`
if [[ $ISSUE != Ubuntu* ]]
then
  echo "This script is intended for use on Ubuntu, but this system appears";
  echo "to be something else. Your results may vary.";
  echo
  confirm
elif [[ `expr match "$ISSUE" "$LTS"` -eq ${#LTS} ]]
then
  GIT='git-core'
fi

echo "PHABRICATOR UBUNTU INSTALL SCRIPT";
echo "This script will install Phabricator and all of its core dependencies.";
echo "Run it from the directory you want to install into.";
echo

ROOT=`pwd`
echo "Phabricator will be installed to: ${ROOT}.";
confirm

echo "Testing sudo..."
sudo true
if [ $? -ne 0 ]
then
  echo "ERROR: You must be able to sudo to run this script.";
  exit 1;
fi;

echo "Installing dependencies: git, apache, mysql, php...";
echo

set +x

sudo apt-get -qq update
sudo apt-get install $GIT mysql-server apache2 php5 php5-mysql php5-gd php5-dev php5-curl php-apc php5-cli dpkg-dev

# Enable mod_rewrite
sudo a2enmod rewrite

HAVEPCNTL=`php -r "echo extension_loaded('pcntl');"`
if [ $HAVEPCNTL != "1" ]
then
  echo "Installing pcntl...";
  echo
  apt-get source php5
  PHP5=`ls -1F | grep '^php5-.*/$'`
  (cd $PHP5/ext/pcntl && phpize && ./configure && make && sudo make install)
else
  echo "pcntl already installed";
fi

if [ ! -e libphutil ]
then
  git clone git://github.com/facebook/libphutil.git
else
  (cd libphutil && git pull --rebase)
fi

if [ ! -e arcanist ]
then
  git clone git://github.com/facebook/arcanist.git
else
  (cd arcanist && git pull --rebase)
fi

if [ ! -e phabricator ]
then
  git clone git://github.com/facebook/phabricator.git
else
  (cd phabricator && git pull --rebase)
fi

echo
echo
echo "Install probably worked mostly correctly. Continue with the 'Configuration Guide':";
echo
echo "    http://www.phabricator.com/docs/phabricator/article/Configuration_Guide.html";
echo
echo "You can delete any php5-* stuff that's left over in this directory if you want.";

Once you have this in the nano editor, press
Code: Select all
cntrl+o
this will allow you to save the file. Name it something like: install-phab.sh
It needs the .sh extension!

Then, you will need to give it executable access, this can be done with the following command:
Code: Select all
chmod +x install-phab.sh

Now, all you really need to do is run the file, which can be done with
Code: Select all
./install-phab.sh

This is the official bash script to install phabricator, which you can also find @: http://www.phabricator.com/rsrc/install ... _ubuntu.sh

Thanks for the help Ninjex I got it installed but its being a real pain in the ass to link with the webserver so whilst I link it up, which may take a while, I have set up the trello board and the subdomain. If everyone who wants to take part in this project becomes a member of the trello board and create labels on there describing what you are doing and we can help eachother out on there, if you want a file added to the directory add a comment to whatever your doing on trello with a link to pastebin or something and I'll upload it to the site as soon as possible. I know it's not ideal but it's a start.
