App 4

Post by pippin418 on Mon Jul 07, 2008 1:47 pm

I've gone through a hex editor and tred to use Olly Debug but am lost with what to do in it. Is there some kind of Olly tut that could put me on track?

Thanks

Stick with Hex editor.

Do you know the ALT shortcuts? If you can find out how to make them, you can beat app 4.

you can stick to whichever one you want. ive solved it both ways (theres prolly more ways, but i used ollydbg and a hex editor). if you use olly u might be looking for a longer time. it all depends on whether you find the right thing and decide to check it. even though i solved it first with olly, i think its easier with a hex editor.

The only program you need is a hex editor like Hex Workshop. You just need to understand the language it was written in and then found out how to press the button another way.

I worked out how to do this in Olldybg (and changed some of the assembly) and the P32DAsm, not idea how'd I'd go about in it in a hex editor though.

how do you find out what language it has written in?
Why do you need P32dasm?

you can definately do it the easiest way with ollydbg. try looking up the WindowJuggler plugin for olly. its definately worth your time.
