Re: The Dark Web

"The Dark Web" is just a construct of media and government to scare the living fuck out of people to grant them the power to take away freedoms and gain ever more ubiquitous powers over the internet. This content has existed in some form or another for a long time online.. when I first cam...

Re: Command Line

Thanks for the comments and advice, and to rephrase my first statement. Learning code is my new favorite hobby. Knowing the command line is something I think will come in handy at some point. As for now I'm going to keep finding new tasks to completely weekly in between my other study's to keep the...

Re: Is using Google advanced searches safe?

I don't think that google is intentionally or inherently evil on purpose, but ultimately they make bank on their collection of every slab of data they can get their hands on.. that means our tastes, preferences, website history, search history, and more... the very same data we scream our heads off ...

Re: Is using Google advanced searches safe?

Notice that google.com redirects you to https even if you are not logged in? Keyword searches have been encrypted at Google since around 2013 ever since Google was accused of sharing search data with the NSA.

still not really sure how much I trust them though.

Re: France banning Tor?

complete misplacement of attention and misguided attempt to do "something or anything" in the wake of something that makes the general peons all panicky. Everyone trying to come up with some knee-jerk solution to stop terrorism or gun violence every time something happens by enacting stupi...

Re: what do you think?

what do you think the most best hackers from where?: That's a tough question criterion to work with really because of all the possible factors that grammar imposes on the OP... [*] In terms of sheer and vastness of numbers of quality hackers: China, India, Bangladesh in that order no doubts about i...

Re: Is this what a VPS is?

except that notion that a VPS doesn't perform is a bit outdated.. pretty much the entire current cloud infrastructure runs off of mega dynamic VPS systems like the Amazon elastic cloud. i'd venture to say that 75% if not more of all websites you visit are probably running on VPS vs. baremetal, it's ...

Re: How do you write a brute force program in javascript?

You could use javascript, no need to dismiss it as a web only language, it's just as powerful and useful as python and with things like Node.js you can run a compiled server that will run constantly. just throwing that out there.
