### Re: "The Big Crunch"

Well I'm going to respond one more time... We can actually create elements, if by create you mean get an element that wasn't there in the first place. This process is done by adding or subtracting protons and electrons from other elements, it is possible and has been done, if i recall correctly the ...

### Re: "The Big Crunch"

First off this is not a negative response in any way shape or form, I'm not criticizing, just pointing out things you should consider. There are several things that you're not taking into account with your logic here. One is that time is a fixed entity no matter what you label it. If you think of ti...

### Re: Maths rocks

Proofs are tedious, and painful at first, but they also let you get a firm grip on what is truly going on with something. If you truly think you understand something but can't prove the result then most likely there's a key element you are missing. I know this from lots of experience.

### Re: Interest in Math topics

Well first off I'm not a girl, lol, Sonic was the one who nixed the submission. As for calculus there are a lot of books out there on the subject. I am willing to go over some topics but it's way to broad a subject to just start into and go from there. Give me an idea of where to start and I'll work...

### Re: hmmm... here's a question for ya!

Math is both discovered and invented. It is discovered in that we find results that are surprising and counter intuitive. For example a mathematician named Rumanujan discovered some interesting properties of infinite series in the first decade of the 1900's that we are only now seeing applications f...

### Re: Where to start?

C has a lot of uses... the book that I'm working through now uses C exclusively for exploits. I don't know that it is the best language for the tasks but using the language combined with a debugger has taught me a lot about how the machine interacts with programs.

### Re: Using an HTML editor.

if you are running windows textpad is a really great editor, it will link your code to your browser if you save it as .html or .htm. It comes with a free trial also. It also works with more programming languages than I could ever learn, I would say anybody but I'm sure there's someone out there flue...

### Re: Understanding Cryptography

I'm assuming that you are talking about the basic mission that involves cryptography in a very basic form. I was actually trying to start this post as a way to discuss real algorithms and their construction, maybe even a little of the weakness of each if people know them. Do people here know what a ...
