Re: A.A. "glitch" and NYSE crash....interesting

5 years ago before I worked in the IT industry and was more active here, I would have said "Shit got haxxed".

Now that I deal with developers and users alike all day, I'm going with "Rank incompetence, final answer".

Re: narcissistic alarm clock

Do not use a transistor to drive a halogen. Use a transistor to drive a relay that controls the halogen. The relay can handle much higher current and voltage, and generally does better with AC.

I realize how unlikely it is that this would be investigated, but as I said before we don't like taking chances. A good 40% of what I post here is sarcastic, demeaning, and...

Re: Knowledge bomb for all skill levels

Re: how to find an encrypted key?

That might get you close, but do you know how XOR works? Do you know the difference between a "key", "plaintext", and "ciphertext"? Studying up on basic encryption would be a good start.

Re: How do I decrypt an encrypted password?

If you think that That forum post is not atall helpful.. then it sounds like you don't want to learn hacking and all. and instead are just looking to get points. Did you actually take time to read through the threads? If so then I cannot imagine how you didn't find anything useful. 98 comments and 3...

Re: where am I going wrong

By way of analogy: http://doorrepairbrooklyn.net/images/fiber_door.jpg This is what you have shown us. HTML alone rarely if ever will yield useful clues to getting in. You attack the server, not the page. I would suggest reading about various web-based attacks before you attempt somethin...
