I'd go with Java first. Its easier to get the hang of. However, they made it almost too easy... you don't really get to learn what goes on past the code (unless you specifically look...). I started with C. Its difficult to grasp some concepts and first, and I believe the learning curve is a bit stee...

I got it just after I posted. I was doing the same thing the php "API" said to do, and it apparently wasn't working right as it never retrieved the cookies. Its working fine now...

Setting Cookies in Php

I've looked through a few sites showing setting cookies with javascript and php, but neither of them worked. I'm doing something wrong, but can't figure out what =/. I dunno if doing it on a VBulletin page would affect it any... Any tips?

You find an exploit, and if you found one, you most likely know why its an exploit. And if you know why its exploit-able, then you'll surely know how to exploit it. Implementing it into code or some type of process to go about it is the hardest thing...

I don't see why you'd want to limit your learning. While it is useful to specialize in an area, there's no need to focus only on that. The major step in hacking is learning everything you can. You never know when you'll need a skill :P did i mention anywhere of "limiting your learning"?? ...
