Can't get IRC to link to my account

So I've never used IRC before and I am trying to start the missions... feel free to bash me.
My issue is that I went to #help to link my account and start the missions but I can't get my account to link. A friendly in the #help room informed me that this is because the bot was "not there" am I doing something wrong? or is there any other way to link my account?

Alright then as you asked; this is the wrong thread. You should create a new thread next time, but I think the issue was solved already (moo being back afaik).

OP: The bot that links your account (moo) was most likely gone for one reason or another, but don't worry, she's back now.
