ok so I have it opened up and I know what to change and where it is. the only problem is that when i try to change the number in OllyDbg the dissapears altogether. is there anyway i can make it stick?
Im off, last year of school and all, I had something longer but char limit fucked that up. So yeah, had a good run here. Thanks for the memories. Thanks to the staff and users.

Are you saving the changes to executable corretly?- and make sure you don't have any extra bytes added on to the values you changed by accident because that usually causes problems

After I search for it and find it in text I find it in the main section. When I try to edit eg. 300 to 400 and click ok, it dissapears and some red writing pops up. So Im not saving anything.

OllyDBG isnt the only option. using simple hex editor is much easier :)

IMO olly was easier to use than a hex-editor, because you can see where you have to edit things :D.

If my suspicions are correct the original poster of this thread was editing the wrong thing.

Just keep in mind with OllyDebug to use the Analyze button, or else you might freak out when you edit stuff.

So perhaps it's time for a small hint for all others that might get stuck on this one:

The App uses beeps.
Beeps are sound
Sound is written in Frequency (which is a number, like 200)
So try to find the frequencies and make them match up :)

Fuck yeah! I completed it! I knew I had to match the beeps to get the answer, but I didn't think I would haha (although I did have help from the forum). I seriously think this mission is easier than app14, which is categorized as easy, whereas app9 is medium..
