Reading this thread got me to the right commands and then I spent a decent while confused over an extra thing I was missing, then confused again over what I really shouldn't have been considering the past Basic missions.

Now I wanna practice more Linux CLI stuff right now but also it's 2AM.
I feel I should be better than this by now.

I actually feel stupid for what I was doing. I kept trying to echo the obscure file but I did not pay attention to the type of 'file'. Just pay attention to what you are doing guys  :D

wow, that was really easy... it's one of the tests i run when buying a wifi router to make sure it's not susceptible to the same attack... only i tell the router to reboot, if it reboots, it's not secure

Why doesn't 'find' work? (I got the answer and now I'm trying different ways to solve this)

Also, without any modifiers, the UNIX command should not give . and .. in the output.

Woah, this one was annoying. I ended up just realizing it was as simple as adding an extra character...

I have never been so equally satisfied, and frustrated before. The solution really is disgustingly easy. This took me, I would wager, somewhere around nine hours total to complete, and I'm not proud of that. That being said, not only have I learned quite a bit about basic commands thanks to this, I'm now well on my way to learning more.

The answer really does rely on simplicity, though I would love to come back and search for different methods of solving this one.

I think google just found it somehow?? I really have no idea, but the links to 7 and 8 passwords were in my browser already... :( I guess I'm just an idiot savant in regards to hacking?
